16 Illegal Guns Taken Off South Suburban Streets: Sheriff

Seven arrests made were made for such charges as aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, Cook County Sheriff said.

COOK COUNTY, IL — Cook County Sheriff’s Police seized 16 guns off the streets of Ford Heights, Orland Park, Harvey, Chicago, Robbins, and Palos Heights, among others, over the past few weeks.

This led to seven arrests with charges such as aggravated battery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and revoked FOID card.
