2 Killed In Shooting At Worth Bar: Police

Two people were shot and killed early Monday morning at the Crossing Bar and Grill. There is no threat to the public, Worth police said.

WORTH, IL — Two people were shot and killed early Monday morning at a bar in Worth. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting the Worth Police Department in its investigation.

The shooting happened at The Crossing Bar and Grill, 6959 W. 111th St. Worth Police Chief Tim Denton told Patch that two people succumbed to their injuries. The wounded patrons were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

“Investigators have and still are pursuing numerous leads in this tragic incident,” Denton said in an email to Patch. “Based on the investigation thus far, this was an isolated incident between two separate parties known to each other. There is no threat to the public.”
