The Palos Baseball Organization Opening Day Parade is Saturday, April 12th
To celebrate opening day at Community Park, Palos Baseball will have an opening day walking parade with the Palos Power Girls Softball. All players and coaches will be participating in this annual event.
All managers, coaches, and players will arrive at Palmer Park about 8:15 am wearing their uniform and line up by divisions and teams.
Volunteers will assist the players to go to their proper place. Each division will form a line facing west. The parade will begin promptly at 9:00 am. The parade route will begin from Palmer Park on 123rd Street west to 76th Avenue north to the fields. The players will walk with their teams and managers and coaches. Teams are encouraged to make signs showing support for their team and PBO. Once the parade is at the fields (around 9:45 ish), the players will line up on the Power 1 field for opening day ceremonies. The ceremonies will last approximately 20 minutes. Local news media will be on hand to cover the parade and ceremony.
All PBO games will begin at 10:45 am.
