$393 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In Palos Heights Is Biggest Jackpot In Illinois History

The winner has one year to claim the massive Mega Millions prize.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A neighborhood restaurant in Palos Heights has sold the winning ticket for the largest jackpot in state history in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, Illinois Lottery officials said Saturday. A Quick Pick ticket for an estimated $393 million grand prize was sold at Nick’s Barbecue, 12658 S. Harlem Ave.

The winning numbers in Friday night's drawing are 23 – 33 – 53 – 56 – 58. The Mega Ball number is 06.

The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to immediately sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim a prize.

This jackpot is the fifth-largest in Mega Millions history and has an estimated cash value of $246 million if the winner chooses the one-time lump-sum payout. The jackpot began on April 28 and rolled 30 times, lotto officials said.

The Mega Millions jackpot may be the most massive in state history, but players have another chance to win big in Saturday night's Powerball drawing. The Aug. 12 grand prize is an estimated $356 million.
