PALOS PARK, IL -- They saved the best for last in the historic first live cross battle on NBC’s “The Voice.” Palos Park native Abby Kasch from Team Kelly went up against Gyth Rigdon from Team Blake. Abby crushed it with her rendition of Carrie Underwood’s “Cupid’s Got A Shotgun.” Gyth sang “Goodbye Time” by his coach Blake Shelton (sucking up?).

In last week’s cross battle round the coaches used five of their eight collective steals and saves. Kelly Clarkson and John Legend each banked their save, and Shelton has his steal remaining. The results will be revealed Tuesday, April 23, on NBC at a new time -- 8 p.m. Central Time.

Now it’s America’s turn to vote. Abby turns 21 this week -- her birthday is April 24, the same as Kelly Clarkson -- so let’s give her an early birthday present. Voting is now open on The Voice Official App (App Store or Google Play) and at NBC Voice Vote. For official rules, visit Voice Vote Rules. Voting will remain open until 6 a.m. local time Tuesday, April 23. Viewers may vote online up 10 times per artists per email address, during the voting window.
