PALOS HILLS, IL—Registration is now open for the summer and fall 2026 semesters at Moraine Valley Community College. The community college offers a range of courses and instructional formats, including in-person, online and hybrid. The summer semester runs May 11 to Aug. 2; the fall semester begins Aug. 24.
Moraine Valley offers more than 140 degree and certificate programs. Students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university can earn an associate degree in arts, fine arts, general studies, engineering science, applied science, and science. Students also can choose from several career programs, including Automotive Technology, Automation and Engineering Technology, Health Care, Restaurant and Hotel Management, Welding and Public Service, which allows them to earn certificates and enter the workforce faster. The college offers personal and professional development programs and courses as well.
Moraine Valley also has many classes available—including the Nursing Program—at its two extension sites at the Education Center at Blue Island, 12940 S. Western Ave., and the Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park, 17900 S. 94th Ave.
Tuition and fees at Moraine Valley cost $492 per three-credit-hour course for the summer semester and $504 for the fall semester, saving students thousands of dollars each year. Students also can take online classes and pay the in-district tuition rate regardless of where they live.

In-district tuition for the summer semester is $143 per credit hour plus fees and books. New students must complete an admission application and can register in-person in the registration office, located in the Student Services Center (Building S), 9000 W.
