The Palos 118 Educational Foundation and Parent Faculty Association have donated a total of $30,000 to Palos School District 118 to be used for new 70-inch interactive displays in the district’s middle school classrooms at Palos South. Each organization presented $15,000 checks during the District’s June board meeting.

“Our hope is that the new displays can be delivered and installed over the summer and be ready in time for the start of classes in August,” said District 118 Foundation director Sheila Pacholski. She said that the donation is in keeping with the Foundation’s mission of F.U.N. (Fund Unfunded Needs) for District 118.

“On behalf of the Palos 118 PFA, I am incredibly grateful to our district families whose generosity and support make donations like this possible. We are proud to partner with the district in supporting our students and teachers. This investment will enhance learning opportunities for years to come,” said Palos 118 PFA President Jennifer Bleskin.

Dr. Anthony Scarsella, Palos School District 118’s Superintendent of Schools, expressed his thanks to the Foundation and the PFA for their donations which he said will help support classroom learning.

“I know I speak for our staff and school board when I say how grateful we are for the Foundation and the PFA. Their generous donations provide educational resources the school district cannot fund on its own and that will benefit current and future Palos 118 students. Their partnership with the district is what makes Palos 118 such a special play for our students to learn and grow,” he said.
