Palos 118 Educational Foundation Fundraiser Nets $2500 for School Media Centers

The Palos Educational Foundation recently presented checks totaling $2500 to Palos School District 118's media centers. Foundation director Sheila Pacholski presented each school's principal with a check during Palos 118 Board of Education in October. The Foundation hosts its Laps for Literature fundraiser each year in the fall. To participate, students solicit donations and walk laps around the schools on the day of the event which includes music and a fun atmosphere.

Funds raised by the Palos 118 Educational Foundation provide financing for items that may be beyond the means of conventional public school funding. To date, the Foundation has donated just over $678,000 to Palos School District 118.
