Anthony Marion Nicosia, 92, passed away peacefully in his Palos Senior Living Home surrounded by his adoring family and friends on May 12, 2022. Anthony was born on August 15, 1929 to
Parents Jessica (Ficaro) and Michael in the city of Chicago. He was a graduate of Saint Rita High
School class of 1947.
Anthony and Patricia (Greenhill) have been married for 67 years and have 4 children: Michele
(Vendetti), Michael (Debra), Anthony (Karen) and Nicole (Steven McGowen). Proud
grandfather to Quinn Parsons, Danielle Merlot, McKenna McGowen, Kevin McGowen, Maggie
Nicosia and Michael Nicosia. Great grandfather to Adeline, Michael, Thomas, Daniel, Bannon
and Eily.
Anthony will always be remembered as a great father, devoted husband, for his humor and love
to be around family and friends. Anthony loved for the game of golf and was a marshal for
many years at Woodbine in Homer Glen. He was an avid sports fan to his Chicago Bulls, Cubs,
Sox and endured the many bad years of Bears football.
There will be a Celebration of life on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10:00 am to honor him. The
celebration mass will be at Saint Alexander Catholic Church 12600 71st Ct, Palos Heights, IL
60463.
