The U.S. Air Force JROTC program from Shepard High School recently participated in the annual marksmanship and sports contest with the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy programs from Eisenhower and Richards high shcools.
Supervised by Major Dan Johnson and Chief Bill Foster, the event always proves a highlight of the year.
Students competed in shooting from prone, kneeling, and standing positions. Sports (JROTC fulfills the district PE requirement) included tug-of-war, volleyball, and a variety of strength and conditioning events.
