Autumn In The Park Committee Looking To Crown First Miss Palos Park

PALOS PARK, IL — If you’re a young woman between the ages of 16 and 22, fun and charismatic, then consider being a part of history by competing in the inaugural “Miss Palos Park” pageant Sept. 10.

This pageant is all about fun, talent and empowerment. If you are interested or know someone who'd make a good contestant, sign up by Sept. 8 to become the village’s first queen. To qualify, entrants must be Palos Park residents in addition to the age requirements.

The winner will represent the village at the Autumn In The Park Festival Sept. 15 and Sept. 16, as well as other village events throughout the year. Pageant check in is at noon Sunday, Sept. 10. The pageant starts at 3 p.m. at the Palos Park Recreation Center, 8901 W. 123rd St. Admission is $5, children under 5 are free. Miss Palos Park and one runner up will be chosen the day of the pageant.

Entrants will be judged on group interview, creative presentation, talent , evening gown and an on-stage question. The winning “Miss Palos Park” will receive a $100 cash prize, crown and sash, and $1,000 crown fund to be used for education.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available at $50 (supporter), $100 (tiarra), ceptor ($300) and diamond ($1,000). Sponsors will be included in the pageant program. The pageant is presented by the Autumn In The Park Committee, and directed by Larry Wisowaty.
