PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Come out and meet your Palos Heights police officers for National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 1. The festivities kick off from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Palos Heights police station, 7607 W College Drive. Parking is available in the Palos baseball lot on the west side of the police station.

Take a tour of the police station and learn about crime prevention and personal safety. There will be interactive activities for kids and adults alike, K9 demos, tours of special police vehicles, a DJ, including tours of special police vehicles, K9 demos, DJ, a balloon twister and prizes.

Since 1984, police departments and communities across the United States have held National Night Out events on the first Tuesday in August. More than 38 million neighbors in 16,000 communities throughout the nation will hold some type of event promoting community building and public safety.
