Back To School: Palos Heights SD 128 School Calendar 2022-2023

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Palos Heights Dist. 128 for the 2022-2023 academic school year, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the new school year.

The first day of school for K-8 students in Dist. 128 is Aug. 18. Students will be dismissed at noon.

Some dates are subject to change during the school year. We also suggest that you check the Dist. 128 calendar for late starts, early dismissals, exams, open houses, athletic and school events; or the Indian Hill, Navajo, Chippewa and Independence school calendars.

Aug. 18 – First day for students, early dismissal noon

Sept. 5 – Labor Day, no school

Oct. 7 – Institute Day, student non-attendance day
Oct. 10 – Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day, no school

Nov. 8 – Election Day, no school
Nov. 21 through Nov. 22 – Parent/teacher conferences, no school
Nov. 23 through Nov. 25 – Thanksgiving break, no school

Dec. 22 through Jan. 6 – Winter Break, no school

Jan. 9 – School resumes
Jan. 16 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school

Feb. 20 – Presidents’ Day, no school

March 27 through March 31– Spring Break, no school

April 4 – Institute Day, student non-attendance day
