Immigrated from Cuba to fulfill his medical residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL where he met and courted Joan Flynn, a nurse from the Chicago’s Southside. They went on to marry and Bernie became a longtime Pediatrician serving St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island and Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights.
Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Flynn).

Chapel prayers Saturday, December 19th, 9:30 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights proceeding to Saint Alexander Church, Mass 10:00 a.m.
