Boil Order Lifted In Palos Hills

Tests have confirmed that water is safe for consumption after a large water main is repaired in Palos Hills.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Fill up the dog bowls and make some ice tea. The boil order in Palos Hills has been lifted. Water is now safe for consumption.

The city issued a boil order for an area of Palos Hills when a large water main broke in the area bounded by 95th Street on the south, 103rd Street on the north, Kean Avenue on the east, and 82nd Court on the west.

Commissioner Nick Oeffling, of the water and sewer department, said the city was awaiting the results of water tests to ensure that the water was safe for drinking.
