Bridge Repairs Start This Week At Cal Sag Road And LaGrange

PALOS TOWNSHIP, IL — Repairs to the bridge carrying Cal Sag Road (Illinois 83) over La Grange Road (US 45) in Palos Township are slated to start the week of May 16. Repairs will require daily lane closures, weather permitting.
The $1.1 million project will consist of removing the existing concrete median, structural concrete repairs, installation of a new deck overlay and approaches. The project is expected to be completed in October.
To complete the work, daily lane closures will be required on Cal Sag Road and on LaGrange Road at the bridge, IDOT authorities said.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
