PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Palos Heights police are asking for residents’ help in identifying a potential suspect believed to be involved in a commercial burglary early Wednesday morning.
At 2:44 a.m. officers were called to SNK Fuel, 12100 S. Ridgeland Ave., for a burglary that had just happened. Security images released by police show a masked person who appeared to be carrying a pry bar approaching the gas station. Police said the purported burglar used the pry bar to force entry into the gas station, taking cash and cigarettes before leaving on foot.
“We believe the suspect to be a caucasion male,” said Deputy Chief Bill Czajkowski, of the Palos Heights Police Department. “We think the suspect may be from the local area.”
