
Palos Heights has a good old fashioned Independence Day Celebration planned for July 3 and July 4 where you can express your patriotism featuring inflatables, bands and fireworks at Community/Memorial Park, 7607 W. College Drive.
Bring the kiddos over to Community Park at 76th Avenue just south of Route 83, for inflatables and games from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 3. Pre-sale wristbands for residents are $15 per child through June 30; $20 day-of-event. Wristbands are on sale at the Palos Heights Recreation Center, 6601 W. 127th St., Palos Heights. A wristband is required to play in the inflatables.
Gates open at 5 p.m. for the evening concert and fireworks. A DJ spins the tunes from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Fireworks will be blast off at 9:15 p.m. A beer tent and food vendors will be open during the event from 5 to 9:15 p.m.
