Throughout history, fables, folklore, and fairy tales have functioned as a way to pass down morals. The paintings from this series reimagine those familiar narratives through a contemporary lens, revealing the tension between the past and present. Through whimsical compositions that merge representational and flat rendering styles, these paintings reflect cultural and generational shifts in our values.Reception is Free and open to the public.

This ninety-minute session teaches MammaCare® Method, the recognized standard for performing breast self-examination (BSE). A MammaCare® certified BSE instructor provides info on breast cancer, risk factors, statistics, signs and symptoms, and guides you through the technique using tactually accurate breast models. Although BSE is not intended as a diagnostic method, it can be useful in noting any unanticipated changes in breast tissue and seeking timely health services.
By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
<ul><li>Discriminate between lumps and normal tissue in a breast model</li><li>Demonstrate the 5 Ps of the MammaCare Method of Breast Examination</li><li>Feel more confident about performing MammaCare BSE</li></ul>
