Carol J. Norton

Carol Jean Norton, 75, of Mokena, passed away at Palos Heights Hospital on December 25, 2022. She was born on March 8, 1947 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Howard Francis and Ora Verne (nee Pittaway) Norton.

Carol graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island and earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Illinois State University in Normal Illinois. She enjoyed teaching and enriching the lives of youth. She was most recently a part time substitute teacher.

Carol had a love for Mary Kay cosmetics. She was a devoted Mary Kay Consultant. She enjoyed traveling to Mary Kay conventions where she could meet new people and learn about the new products being offered.

Carol’s true passion was travel. She was President of Chicago Women in Travel for several years. As a travel consultant, she believed it best to see the world firsthand and pass on those experiences to others so they could make the most of their trips. Her favorite destination by far was Hawaii. She planned many a wonderful Hawaiian vacation and delivered accommodations and itineraries for some of the best honeymoon experiences imaginable.

Carol will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery (11500 S Fairfield Ave, Chicago, IL 60655) at 12:00pm on January 3, 2023.
