Catalytic Converters Swiped In Broad Daylight: Palos Hills Blotter

Both vehicles were parked in parking lots when their catalytic converters were sawed off May 31, reports said.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Catalytic converters were stolen in broad daylight in two separate incidents on May 31. The vehicles were parked in parking lots in Palos Hills.

Around 8:45 a.m., a resident said they parked their car in the parking lot in the 10000 block of Roberts Road. When they returned to their vehicle around 1 p.m., someone had sawed off the catalytic converter.

In the 8000 block of 111th Street, a resident told police they parked their vehicle in the parking lot at approximately 8 a.m. The resident returned to their vehicle at 3 p.m., only to discover that someone had removed the catalytic converter.
