Checks, Debit Card Stolen From Car, Unauthorized Withdrawals Made

PALOS HILLS, IL — Unauthorized checks were cashed that were stolen from a resident’s car, according to Palos Hills police reports.

Officers were called to a residence in the 11000 block of Theresa Circle on March 8. The resident said checks were drawn on their bank account, as well as several withdrawals from their debit card.

Police said the resident left their check book, bank card and passwords together in their car. Residents are urged not to leave valuables in their vehicles, and to keep their passwords and account information separate from checks and debit cards.
