Church Tire-Slasher Tells Cops ‘I Don’t Like Christians:' Police
The man allegedly told Palos Hills police he slashed tires on 14 cars in church lots because he doesn't like Christians.
PALOS HILLS, IL — A Palos Hills man is accused of vandalizing cars at two local churches Osama E. El Hannouny, 25, was charged with 14 misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property and possession of cannabis. More charges, including felonies, may be forthcoming.
Around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17, Palos Hills police went to First Baptist Church, 11015 S Eastwood Drive, for a report of cars vandalized in the parking lot. While officers were investigating the scene, they learned that more cars were found damaged at Sts. Helen and Constantine, 11025 S Roberts Road. The tires on vehicles in both lots had been slashed, police said.
Palos Hills police reviewed security video which showed a man in a black hooded sweatshirt, later identified as El Hannouny, slashing tires. Officers located El Hannouny, who they said matched the description of the man in both church parking lots.
