Palos Heights Remembers 20th Anniversary of 9/11 With Memorial Ceremony
Join Palos Heights officials Saturday, Sept. 11, in a memorial ceremony in Community Park on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Join Palos Heights officials in a solemn ceremony on the twentieth anniversary recalling the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Gather at the 9/11 Memorial at Community Park, across the street from Palos Heights City Hall, 7601 W. College Drive, starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. There will be a laying of the wreath at 7:46 a.m., our local time when the first tower was hit.

Mayor Bob Straz will deliver remarks, along with representatives from the Police and Fire Departments. There will also be a prayer and the playing of "Taps" and "Amazing Grace.”
