Creativity Flows at Palos Park's 'Love the Park' Fine Arts Fair

PALOS PARK, IL -- Forty-seven artists' booth featuring art from a variety of mediums will be on display at the upcoming ‘Love the Park’ Fine Arts Fair, Saturday and Sunday, May 20 and May 21. The juried fair will be held on Palos Park's village green at 8901 W. 123rd St. Admission and parking are free.

Featured works include jewelry, photography, pottery and sculpture, paintings (acrylic, oil, pastels, watercolor), glass and ceramics, leather, wood and fiber, and mixed media, printmaking and pen and ink. Best in Show ribbons will awarded as well as a People’s Choice Award.

The second annual fair also features entertainment, food, wine, craft beers and live music, a community art project, rare classic cars and family art happening throughout the weekend. On Saturday, Love the Park is joining forces with the Greater Illinois Region-Classic Car Club, the local chapter of the Classic Car Club of America, in hosting Art and the Automobile including some of the rarest 100 point cars in the Midwest. GIRCCCA members will present many automobiles that represent Art Deco design cues, hence the theme of this years event - Art Deco Meets the Road.

Sunday is designed to let family members’ of all ages unleash their creativity and imagination. Families can create art projects together and children can get their faces painted, participate in a mural project or create a spin art Frisbee.
