Crossing Guard Hit by Car-UPDATE
While crossing students at 9700 Roberts Rd, Hickory Hill Illinois, Maryann Anifer was hit by a car.

Hello neighbors,
First of all, on behalf of Maryann, I want to thank everyone who had sent in a donation. It's very much appreciated.
Maryann has had a long uphill battle with the injuries she suffered as a result of getting run down while performing her duties crossing students at 97th & Roberts road.
Since that awful day in September, she spent several weeks back and fourth in the hospital. Doctors performed five surgeries, in reality trying to save her leg. It's not over! During the Christmas & New Years holidays, Maryann was undergoing a third skin Graf surgery. However, thing are improving at a snails pace. Doctors removed her bandages last week and continue to monitor her progress. She has now using a walker to strengthen her muscles. Slowly but surly she is healing.
