Lymphedema is a chronic swelling disorder that generally affects the arms and legs. While lymphedema can be a genetic disorder of unknown origin, it is commonly observed following the treatment of breast cancer. Without proper management, the condition can worsen, changing the appearance of the extremity and even increasing the risk of infection in the affected area.
