Discover What Moraine Valley Can Offer At Open House

PALOS HILLS, IL — Anyone interested in becoming a student at Moraine Valley Community College is invited to attend an open house on Saturday, Nov. 5. The open house runs from 9 a.m. to noon., in Building M on the college’s main campus, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.

Prospective students can take a tour of the campus, meet faculty from the college’s academic and career programs. There will also be a panel of current students to answer questions about their courses and the Moraine Valley experience.

“We’ll give a presentation about the college and the many student support services we offer,” Andy Sarata, director of admissions and recruitment, said in a news release. We’ll also provide information about tuition, the admission process and financial aid.”

Moraine Valley representatives also will also explain how Moraine Valley can help students save thousands of dollars in college tuition by completing the first two years of their bachelor’s degree at the college before transferring to a four-year institution. In addition, information on the Early College Program, which allows high school students to earn college credit while still in high school, will be available.

Following is the open house agenda and schedule:

9 a.m. — Check-in and visit Moraine Valley information tables
9:30-11 a.m. — Admissions/Financial Aid Presentation and Student Panel
9:30-10:30 a.m. — Spanish Admissions and Financial Aid presentation
11 a.m.-Noon — Take a campus tour

Moraine Valley faculty and staff will be available at information tables to answer prospective students’ questions from 9 a.m. to noon. Financial aid representatives will also be available to assist students with FAFSA completion. Bring these documents with you.
