Doctors' Missed Diagnosis Led to Fall that Caused Man's Death: Lawsuit
The executor of the man's will is seeking compensation for his children.

A woman is suing Palos Community Hospital and two of its doctors, with claims that they missed a patient’s brain bleed that caused a fall that led to the man’s death.
Tessa McCain, serving as independent executor of the estate of the late Charles E. Von Schlutter, filed a wrongful death lawsuit Feb. 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against Palos Community Hospital and Drs. Michelle Kallenborn and Aparna Pai, the Cook County Record reports.
Von Schlutter was a patient at the hospital, 12251 S. 80th Ave., when he fell on March 12, 2013. He ”suffered cerebral injuries” according to the complaint, which McCain alleges the doctors failed to test for, diagnose, and properly treat. The brain bleed caused the fall which led to Schlutter death March 28, 2013.
