Don't Let A DUI Ruin Your Super Bowl Sunday
If you've had too much to drink during the big game, Palos Park cops will pick you up and get you home safe on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3.
PALOS PARK, IL -- Palos Park police encourage everyone who will be attending Super Bowl parties and drinking to "have a plan" by either staying the night where they will be celebrating or having a designated driver take them home. Super Bowl Sunday falls on Feb. 2. Other nearby communities will be conducting special Super Bowl DUI patrols as well.
Police are always on the alert Super Bowl weekend for a spike in unsafe and impaired drivers. The Super Bowl is one of the days, like New Year's Eve and the Fourth of July, when officers know people will be out on the road taking their chances.
But the responsibility is not only on drivers. Business owners of bars and restaurants are being told be on the lookout for drunken patrons and not to over serve customers.
