Dorothy was the only child of the late, Axel Petersen and Doris Parsons. She is survived by her eight children: Rhonda (Bruce), Steven, Tina (Brian), Anthony, Sherri (Andrew), Maria (Ben), Richard & Ronald (Elizabeth). Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren: Erik (Nichole), Brandon, Karley (Andrew), David, Taylor (Kasidey), Jeremy (Alissa), Julia, Megan, Nicole (Brennan), Luke, Jeslyn & Andrew and Great Grandmother of Jackson, Michael & Gabriel. She held her extended family & friends so dearly.
Before moving to Chicago, Illinois, Dorothy lived her early years in Angola, Indiana. Her many talents included singing, drawing, fashion design, decorating and riding thoroughbred horses in her youth. She will be known for her strong belief in Jehovah and sharing her belief with others.
Memorial visitation Saturday, April 9th from 1:00 p.m. until time of chapel service 4:00 p.m. at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights.
