Eid Clothing Bazaar

Friday, April 14 2023 • 10am-4pm

Eid is a very special celebration for our Muslim community members, and we here at Green Hills would like to make it even more special for families in need. You may be asking yourself, what is Eid? Why is it important? Eid al-Fitr is a Muslim celebration that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. This year, Eid will begin on Friday, April 21, and last until Saturday, April 22.

A large part of the celebration of Eid, in addition to festive meals, charity, and social gatherings, is dressing up and wearing new clothes. It is tradition, or sunnah, from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to wear something new for Eid. To honor this special time, we will be hosting an Eid Clothing Bazaar, on April 14, where families can come to shop for their family’s Eid celebration needs. All clothing will be offered for free, and participants will be able to choose one piece per person.
