The Log Cabin Center for the Arts, 12700 Southwest Highway in Palos Park, will offer a Cancer Awareness beaded-jewelry workshop on Monday, Feb. 7, from 6:30-8 p.m.
Jewelry-maker Linda Hardy will help participants to create individually-sized bracelets with colored beads and a cancer-ribbon charm. Students will be able to choose the color of their charm, since different types of cancers are symbolized by different ribbon colors.
There is a class fee of $10 plus a $15 materials fee, which includes all supplies.
