Comedy Night at Shepard High School

Improv Army and speech team members will highlight the first comedy night of the year at Shepard High School from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 20.

Tickets are $5 for everyone.  Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

It’s been a noteworthy year for the improv theater and speech programs.  Improv Army accepted an invitation to perform in Minneapolis at the Brave New Workshop Theater. 

Shepard improv coaches Eric Kallenborn, Jason Nisavic and Improv Army met Brave New Workshop Theater members at Teen Comedy Fest last spring in Chicago.  After watching the Shepard group perform, BNWT members invited them to Minneapolis.

Shepard speech has enjoyed great success this year.  After celebrating state champions each of the past three years, Shepard speech started the 2011-2012 campaign strongly by winning several tournaments.

Shepard has organized comedy shows featuring current students and alumni for the past five years.  Shepard will sponsor a second comedy night on Saturday, May 10.
