Palos Heights Farmers Market

The Palos Heights Farmers Market will be open September 5, from 7 AM- 1 PM at 12217 S Harlem Ave.

Highlights include:

The Market welcomes Bordeaux Heirloom Tomatoes as the newest vendor. Bordeaux Tomatoes, of Bangor, MI, has a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes.

Hiemenz Nursery is the week's featured vendor. The Monee-based nursery specializes in top quality, hardy perennial flowers, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs for both sun and shade. Key to the success of the perennials is that the plants are grown in a hand-mixed soil especially formulated for the area's heavy clay soil. Joe will also answer any garden questions you may have. A raffle will occur at his stand.  

The Palos Heights Recreation Department will be this week's guest at the Community Tent. Rita Schultz will be promoting the Preschool program, and other fall activities sponsored by the program. She will also be selling her beautiful jewelry.

Finally, stop by the City Tent, and have your Frequent Shopper Card fill out, pick up a this week's recipe from Dr. John Principe MD, "Eggplant Rolls with Tomato Sauce", and fill out a market survey.
