Southwest Symphony Orchestra Kicks Off Season with Symphonic Show-Stoppers

The Southwest Symphony Orchestra kicks off its season with the four most famous notes in music history when it performs Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Trinity Christian College, 6601 W. College Drive, Palos Heights.

The evening also includes the enchanting Strauss waltz Tales from the Vienna Woods, Borodin’s Oriental-themed In the Steppes of Central Asia, and Respighi’s Pines of Rome, a four-movement composition depicting pine trees in Rome at different times during the day.
