The Cherry Orchard, one of Anton Chekhov’s four full-length plays, is set in Russia when it was on the brink of the Russian Revolution. The story is set on Madame Ranevskaya’s country estate, which is known for its beautiful cherry orchard. The family is faced with auctioning the farm in order to pay their debt. Trinity will use a recent American translation by noted Chekhov scholar Curt Columbus.
