Evelyn L. “Lynn” Schoenecker

of Palos Heights, IL passed away on October 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father Dominick Valfre, her mother Sylvia Valfre (Martino), and her brother Jon Valfre (the late Sandra).

Lynn was born on July 17, 1937 in Blue Island, IL. She graduated from Blue Island Community High School in 1955, where she met Harold “Hal” Schoenecker. She and Hal were married in 1956.

For many years, Lynn worked in the insurance department at Blue Island Medical Center on Maple Avenue in Blue Island.

Lynn is survived by her daughters, Karen Malec (James), Sandra Chaba (Sy) and Debra Dixon (Thom), her grandchildren, Skyler Khalachyan (Yenok), Matthew Dixon (Melina) and Mary Dixon, and many nieces and nephews. She was also briefly survived by her husband, Hal. He passed away just three days later October 9. They were married 66 years.

Her life will forever be cherished by her family and many friends who are invited to gather and remember Lynn and Hal on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL 60463. Visitation 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service, 4:00 p.m.

Interment will be private.
