Ex-Manager Overpaid Self $185,000 From Company Funds: Police
Palos Hills police investigated possible embezzlement at engineering firm.
PALOS HILLS, IL — A former employee of an engineering firm is believed to have overpaid himself from the company till for several years, reports said. Police responded to a theft complaint on May 4 at Landmark Engineering in Palos Hills.
Associates at the firm were going over the books when they noticed a shortage in the accounts. They learned that a former manager had been overpaid himself $185,000 from company funds, police said. The firm told police that the manager has since moved out of state and hasn’t worked for the company in over a year.
