Festive Lights Will Twinkle At Palos Park Community Tree Lighting
Mayor John Mahoney will throw the switch on the community tree Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Palos Park Recreation Center.

PALOS PARK, IL — The village will be twinkling this Thursday, Dec. 1, when Mayor John Mahoney throws the switch on the community Christmas tree at the Palos Park Recreation Center, 8901 W. 123rd St. The tree lighting is set for 5:30 p.m.
The first 20 children will receive a free custom reindeer from Stuffed Love, an organization that distributes hand sewn stuffed animals, pillows and other cuddly shapes to nursing home residents, veterans, people with developmental disabilities, and those facing financial difficulties. Miniature reindeer will be on sale after that for $15,
Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The winners of the community tree decorating contest will also be announced. For more information, call 708-671-3760.
