Find A Job, Preschool Or Class At MVCC's Child Care Resource Fair

PALOS HILLS, IL — Moraine Valley Community College is hosting a Child Care Resource Fair on Saturday, May 6. The resource fair runs from 9 a.m. to noon, in Building M on the Palos Hills campus, 9000 W. College Parkway. This free event is open to the public and will feature leading child care centers from the surrounding communities. Attendees can meet with staff and ask questions about programs offered at each center.

Additional resources for families with young children, such as recreation programs, camps, therapeutic schools, health-related organizations, educational products, family therapists and more will be on hand to provide information about their services.

Anyone interested in taking classes in early childhood education can meet with faculty from Moraine Valley’s Education Department. Information will be available about the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity Scholarship Program, which offers qualified individuals the chance to earn credentials and/or a degree in early childhood education tuition-free.

In addition, attendees interested in obtaining a job in the early childhood education field can meet with child care centers and organizations that work with young children that have open positions. Attendees can apply at the event, and on-the-spot interviews will be available at the employers’ discretion.

Representatives from Moraine Valley’s Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Library and other college departments and programs that benefit the community also will be on site.
