First aid for Mental Health Workshop
You are more likely to encounter a person having an emotional or mental health crisis than one having a heart attack! Learn what to do!
The Palos Orland League of Women Voters will sponsor a workshop First Aid for Mental Health on Wednesday June 15 th at 10:00 am at the Palos Heights Public Library 12501 South 71st Avenue Palos Heights. The workshop will be led by a Behavorial Specialist from Grande Prairie Services. The South Suburban area continues to be underserved since the closing of the Tinley Park Health facility. This workshop is free and open to the public and will help laypersons to recognize and assist a person having an episode. Participants will also learn about follow-up resources available in the community.
