Former Employee Swipes Skid Steer Used For Snow Removal: Police
The Chicago man stole the Skid Steer in January and sold it to a third party, Palos Heights police said.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A Chicago man is accused of swiping a piece of construction equipment from the Parliament Commons subdivision. Eliud Quiroz-Gutierrez, 38, is charged with theft over $10,000 stemming from the theft of a Skid Steer vehicle that was originally reported Jan. 2.
The company hired for snow removal told police the Skid Steer had been hired for snow removed and had been left on the property for several weeks. The skid steer was eventually recovered in a factory parking lot in Frankfort in mid-February.
Following an investigation, police determined that the vehicle was sold to a third party by another another person. The company owner was able to identify the seller, later identified as Quiroz-Gutierrez, as a former employee who had previously worked at Parliament Commons, police said.
