Four Palos Hills Businesses Fail Underage Liquor Compliance Check

Ten Palos Hills businesses checked; four fail underage liquor compliance check.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- A prominent restaurant and three other establishments in Palos Hills were cited for underage liquor sales during a compliance check conducted April 26. The Illinois Liquor Control Commission partnered with Palos Hills Police Department conducted ten underage compliance checks. During the operation, two establishments that had been cited before for alcohol sales to minors were re-tested for compliance.

The operation involved sending young adults under age 21 working in tandem with local police to bars, restaurants and retail establishments to order or buy alcohol. Establishments that did not check the underage purchasers’ IDs to determine if they were age were issued violations for not complying with state liquor laws. Durbin’s of Palos, 10154 S. Roberts Road, failed the compliance check, according to an ILCC news release.
