Frank Arvid Muller

Frank A Muller, 81, of Palos Park, passed away on November 29, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 9, 1942 in New York, the first child for Frank and Lilian (Bothen) Muller. Frank graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana. He served in the Army Reserves for 3 years at Ford Ord. Then spent almost 60 years in his career as an after-market truck and auto parts salesman.

Frank was a long-time member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Palos Heights, IL and served as an usher for many years. Frank was part of the WTA/ now WTGA group of friends for close to 50 years! Every member of the group is a precious part of his life, sharing countless memories, laughs and trips.

Frank lived each day to the fullest, he loved to travel, be with friends, especially enjoying conversation and libations with all those near and dear to his heart. He was known as the king of useless information and never met a person who he didn’t want to share his knowledge with, regardless of if they wanted to hear it or not!

Frank, or Franky, as she has always called him, is survived by his wife, CJ Muller, his children- a constant source of joy, Dr. Robin Dyer of Island Lake, IL, Frank (Alyssa) Muller of Fletcher, NC, Tera (Tyrone) Meeks, Chicago Ridge, IL, Shana (Rodney) Scott, LaGrange Park, IL, Erica (Dan) McNamara of Chicago, IL, and his sister Gina Kurrle of Montpelier, VT.

Frank was known as papa/grandpa to his six grandchildren who he loved very much and was so proud of their accomplishments, he loved watching them grow to become kind humans: Ben Dyer, Lauren Dyer, Daniel McNamara V, Aubrey Scott, Henry McNamara, and Miles Muller. Frank was also loved and treasured by many nieces, nephews and their families and countless friends around the world.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Franky changed many lives for the better and was loved and admired around the world by many people. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity and help others with random acts of kindness.
