Counterfeit twenties showed up at several businesses Sept. 16 in the 10400 block of South Harlem Avenue. Businesses owners told Palos Hills police were visited by two men who passed the phony bills.

Garage Ransacked For Cigarettes

Palos Hills police responded to a delayed trespassing Sept 12 in the 10500 block of 80th Court. The residents told officers they saw a man exiting their garage through the service door. The man fled with a pack of cigarettes.

Officers said that the garage had been rummaged through, but nothing else appeared to be missing.

Apartments Burgled

Burglars broke into two apartment units on Sept. 15 in the 8900 block of 97th St., Palos Hills, reports said.

Officers observed pry marks on the door casings. Forced entry was made to both units. Reports said the apartments were ransacked and various jewelry and cash were taken.
