
Age 78, of Palos Heights, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Cecil Keller (nee Olson) for 54 blessed and wonderful years. He was the adoring father of Julie (Steve) Phillips, Jean (Neyl) Marquez, Kevin Keller (Glenn Clarke), and Katie (Luke) Hosty, and doting, fun-loving grandfather of 11: Abby, Jake, Isabela, Ethan, Marco, Luke, Cici, Claire, Allison, William, and Sofia. He was the proud brother of Dr. Frank (Ferny) Keller and Dr. Ken (Nancy) Keller, and adoring uncle and cousin to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gertrude (Ryan) Keller.
Jerry was born in Elmhurst on June 29, 1942. He attended Immaculate Conception grade school and high school. He received a BS in chemistry from Roosevelt University, a Masters of Science from University of Illinois, and an MBA from Northwestern University. He worked in research and development in the petro-chemical sector for many years. After retiring, he pursued a second career in real estate.
Jerry’s love and devotion toward his family was unparalleled. His strong Catholic faith guided him throughout his life. He was a dedicated member of St. Alexander Parish for over 50 years, and a devout eucharistic minister. He enjoyed a wide range of volunteer work at Sertoma, Ronald McDonald house, St. Blase food pantry, and others.

He was an avid biker, fisherman, and golfer; a super-fan at every one of his grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities; and, an active member of the Palos Heights community, where he raised his family.

Funeral Mass Saturday, January 2nd, 2:00 p.m. will be attended by **INVITATION ONLY**.
