Palos Park residents can make an online to request a vacation watch for police to watch their house and other village services.
PALOS PARK, IL — Going away for the holidays and want an extra patrol on your house? Palos Park residents can set up a vacation watch on their home by visiting Frontline Public Safety Solutions and request a vacation house watch.
Residents will be leaving town to visit family or other faraway destinations for the holidays. Several residents have already left for warmer climes for the winter, and others will leave after Christmas and not return until after spring.
Palos Park police officers will keep an eye on your home if you’re going on vacation and left the police department know that you’ll be away. Officers, during their shifts, will visit your home to make sure everything looks secure. If anything seems amiss, officers will call you. Police can also help residents make their homes appear as if someone is home.

Visit Frontline Public Safety Solutions and provide the Palos Park Police Department with the details of your property and the dates you will be gone. Once added to the Palos Park police database, your property will receive an extra watch while you are away. If you enter an email address in your request, you may get an email notification from the officer that checks your residence (time permitting).
"We want to advertise this service and let people know about it,” Commissioner Dan Polk said. “We’d like to see more Palos Park residents take advantage of it.”
