Green Hills Public Library District to Reopen February 1
The Library announces it will reopen to the public starting February 1.

The Green Hills Public Library District has announced it will reopen to the public on Monday, February 1 at 10am. The Library has been closed to the public since November 18, and staff have been providing email/chat/phone service along with curbside pickup and home delivery of materials.
The Library continues to monitor guidance from public health authorities, and it is our priority to maintain the health, safety, and well-being of staff and community members. In order to achieve this, every action taken will be carried out in a safe, effective manner to preserve the well-being of all.
Beginning February 1, the Library will be open to the public during the following hours:

Monday-Friday: 10am-8pm
Saturday: 11am-4pm
Sunday: 1-3pm
Virtual/phone service will be available one hour before we open to the public and one hour after we close to the public.

Curbside pickup service will be discontinued when the Library reopens to the public. The last day of service will be January 30.
Key information you need to know before you visit the Library:
- Extra precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of patrons and staff. Safety protocols will be followed which includes requiring face masks that cover the mouth and nose, enforcing physical distancing, regularly disinfecting frequently touched surfaces.
- We are encouraging short stays in the Library.
- Available services include material returns, browsing and checkouts, Library card registration, Doorside Delivery, virtual programming and take-home crafts, and all of the Library’s online offerings.
- Limited services include:
- Self-serve equipment (i.e. computers, scan/fax/copy). Staff assistance is unavailable.
- Computers will be limited to enforce physical distancing. Computer sessions will be limited to 30 minutes to accommodate the needs of our community.
- A limited number of laptops are available for checkout.
- A limited number of study tables are available for checkout.
- Account payments are limited to credit cards.
- Reference and Readers Advisory Assistance is provided by phone, email, or chat.
- Suspended services include newspapers, in-person programming and outreach, private study rooms, Meeting Room reservations, general seating/tables, iPads, Youth Services Play Area, Screened Porch Room, The Hangout, Quiet Reading Room, Notary service, in-Library use item checkout, and volunteer programs.
