Driver Accused Of Shooting At Car With Baby Inside
Palos Heights police tracked the man down using security video from private business, according to police news release.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A Harvey man is accused of shooting at a car with a baby inside during a road rage incident in Palos Heights. Christian Connie, 26, was charged with felony aggravated discharge of a firearm.
During the afternoon of June 18, Palos Heights police responded to a call of a possible road rage incident near the intersection of College Drive and Ridgeland Avenue. According to police, both drivers had apparently gotten into a traffic altercation. One of the drivers, later identified as Connie, fired a gun into the door of the vehicle in which a baby was riding, police said. No one was injured and officers said the shooter had fled the scene by the time they arrived.
Investigators combed the area. After appeals on the Palos Heights Police Facebook page, police procured security video from a private business, which led them to Connie. Upon questioning, police said Connie made incriminating statements. Officers recovered the gun and a projectile from the scene, both of which are being processed at a private crime lab used by Palos Heights police.
